My Rebel and I had a date on Saturday to get out and play....in other words to get out and just see what this camera can do and most importantly, get myself acquainted with the settings. Spent all afternoon there and took over 300 pictures. No better way to learn a camera than to shoot in manual ALL DAY LONG. The urge was strong to switch it to auto but I resisted...some of the shots came out great, some were waaaay overexposed and some were really out of focus. Did two laps around and by the end of lap #1 I was feeling pretty comfortable with it although I still have tons to learn (and need more practice with my landscapes). Posted some pictures~~~not all 300! Used only my 18-55mm lens with a UV filter. Didn't even attempt the wide angle or telephoto, that's for another time.
