My wife had to leave early for work this morning so that precluded being able to go jogging. The best option was to get some early cardio done on the stationary bike and then take the kids for a quick hike at the closest spot to our house. This was a really perfect day. the sun came out just as we started hiking, but it never got hot. We hiked with our neighbors so the kids got to spend time with friends and spent the hike talking and playing as much as hiking. Once we got home Dmitri immediately started playing with the Twister set the kids got this week, which was a sign that the hike wasn't too long. And later I heard the four words every hiker loves to hear from their kids: "Daddy, I like hiking!"
