gpsjoe and I were able to secure a permit at the last minute. WOW, what a trail, definitely will kick your butt. I think Joe and I were the only crazies that did this in just a couple of days. Every body else we ran into on the trail was spending a week.

Perhaps next year we will do that but only if we have a week to fully recouperate and enjoy the bottom of the canyon. (like childbirth, perhaps after a year the pain will be forgotten )
