Went to bed last night and woke up @ 1am itchy with my tongue feeling thick. Wife turned on the light calmly sent me to the bathroom for some benedryl. I'm thinking evidently there is something I didn't know I'm allergic to in Thai food. Woke up and took some more benedryl as my throat was still scratchy and uncomfortable. I can tell you benedryl is not a performance enhancing drug or is it? Anyway, sent off a box of fresh picked oranges to my grandma for her birthday and headed to go do Flatiron with my sidekick Muesli. Stairs must be doing some good as I made it up to the intersection of the siphon draw/flatiron trails 14 min. faster than last time 1:05. Made it down to the turn off for the mining restaurant 7min. faster at 50 min. Legs felt pretty fresh at the bottom so Muesli and I decided to see if there were any flowers below. Took the Jacob's crosscut to treasure loop to Prospector viewpoint trail. Lots of fields of supersmall itty bitty poppies and assorted other varieties of dwarfed flowers. Didn't have time for the other hike I had in mind as my wife wasn't feeling good at work and is due any day.
