met up with Joey Knuckles to make a visit to the White Tanks. I kinda wanted to see some new desert peaks around Phoenix before it got raging hot and this hike looked pretty nice.

Very nice place to hike with trails mostly made for smooth sailing. Mesquite trail was a charming ascent and intro into the mountains. I thought the spur out to Barry Goldwater was a fun little jaunt, and pretty darn steep at the top. very cool summit with some seriously looong views.

we came down the Ford Canyon trail which was somewhat nondescript until the wash, where some cool slick rocks areas caught my attention before the large dry fall really stole the show. plus i finally got to see a chuckwalla...
