This hike has been on my list for some time. Was going to attempt alone with HAZ info and GPS. I notified John9L of my intent to be in Phx and hike Battleship Easter weekend but an injury prevented him from joining; however, he put me in touch with Kyle (tough_boots).

Kyle was very willing to hike BS again (his 6th time) and I was very willing to be guided. It worked out very well and we had a great day with great overcast weather. Kyle is a very sturdy hiker with TONS of Superstition knowledge...we seemed to hit it off well.

Loved this hike and the bit of Class III stuff on Battleship. My only regret is that I wore my Keen sandals (which did great on Mtn but around mile 8-9, my dogs were screaming after trampling back that rocky Second Water trail).
