Returned to this loop using the East Divide/Kennedy Peak/Corral Canyon/ Rattlesnake/ Garden/ Horse Canyon and the Tortilla/Sycamore trail out. We had a total of 6 people, and we had a good time. Weather was perfect for all the climbing, and while a bit cold near the Garden Sat nite ( one thermometer had it at 27 degrees) we all coped just fine.
Beautiful early morning on the trail. Reports of no water at Corral Spring was inacurate, you just had to look for it. The Powers' Garden spring had a good volume as well.
At the Corral Canyon/Rattlesnake junction met a family towing a mule and a 3 and 4year old, the 3 year old up on this large mule and as cute as could be. What a great family tradition. They were hiking the length of this rugged range, I have to hand it to them.
The Garden was as it has been, a wonderful bit of history in a rugged and isolated area.
I love this mountain range, and have more explorations planned.
