We did this 19-mile loop around Coffee Flat Mtn in the Superstition Wilderness as a dayhike with a group of Sierra Club hikers. It was a challenging hike, as much of the trail was overgrown (lots of bleeding on this hike) and hard to distinguish in many areas. Thanks to you all who came together as a group to make this loop while your leader (me) was MIA - long story. This album is a combination of the loop you all did on the 3rd and pictures I took on the 10th on the section a couple of us missed on the 3rd. The one group shot in the middle of the album is complements of my good friend Slawa. Another great adventure! See you all on the next one : ) - Darrell

Trail Notes:

If you do the loop counter-clockwise, the route finding is a little more obvious. If you do it clockwise, make sure you make the hard right out of Randolph Canyon (little to no trail, mostly in the wash) up to the windmill.

The Red Tanks Trail is very overgrown, wear long pants for this section. Long sleeves would help too.

Get an early start and bring a flashlight - the days are short in the winter.
