Finally got to meet Kelly (thanks for driving!) and Patrick (thanks for volunteering to ride in the truckbed!) to do this hike that had been on my list. Long dirt road just to get to trailhead! Warm conditions with elevation and a couple of fast partners had me stopping to rest more than a few times! Nice hike along the ridgeline with some good open views of the desert. The exposed quartz peak, coupled with the flaky mica(?) deposits were pretty cool. Thanks for the hike guys!
