Hands down the best "close" hike to home! This is a nice hike through three varied terrains. I'm still in awe that I practically hiked from home to Buena Vista so easily. This seems like it might be a good loop option with Telegraph/DC or yet another great way to access Hidden Valley. This is definitely the best way to see the Chinese Wall. Just before the wall you go through a mini Hidden Valley that offers a sliver of shade in the heat of the day.

I'm pretty sure the eastern(really northern) route is a tad shorter, in addition it avoids the tiny ravine-gravel. Nevertheless, I posted a route as the description mentions.

Great hike, I'm ecstatic Randal posted this one!

Oh yeah, the coolest twin squirrels patrol a rock pile just before the ascent. I thought they were tiny cairns from a distance. Amazingly they were still patroling on my return trip!
