First actual hike with Micah coming along.
Do to feeding an unpredictability of newborn schedules and the heat wave for the weekend we chose to go to Sedona, the whole family got in 2 miles. I dropped mom and baby back at the hotel and went back to do the rest of the trail with my trusty sidekick Muesli. Enjoyed this hike and would do it again. Went to the wading section and would have gone farther had I realized that I pretty much had to give Muesli and entire bath anyway. I walked .25 of a mile and had Muesli stay on the sandbar. It was 87 by the time I got back to the trail head after dropping off the ladies, but it didn't seem too bad. I was initially kind of worried about the puncture wound I gave myself on the ball of my foot on Friday, but evidently cleaning it and putting multiple layers of New skin on it did the trick. I opted to not even wear socks and the foot felt pretty good. Got to test out the Ergo on something other than the neighborhood. The infant insert is a little on the warm side, but I put a soft cool pad inside and brought a mister which seemed to do the trick. She never even woke up. I checked her temp. frequently and with the breeze and the set up she never even approached feeling warm so all in all it was a success. By the time it cools off she won't need the infant insert and I'll have more carrying options.
