Breakfast on 5024.

Having already done Flatiron before work, I decided to top that by bagging Peak 5024 before going to work. The plan started last night with an early bedtime. 9pm.

3:00am - Woke up naturally, but too early to go.

3:30am - Woke up again, but too tired. 20 more minutes.

3:50am - Alarm goes off. Hop out of bed.

4:00am - Leave a note on the counter that says where I am going.

4:02am - On the road.

4:25am - Arrive at Mining Camp TH.

4:26am - Start hike.

4:27am - Realize that dimly burning LED headlamp needs new batteries. Continue on.

5:01am - Arrive at base of slick rock bowl. Rest for 2 minutes. Continue on. Ignore bees.

6:05am - Climb vertical rock wall. Contemplate whether or not I have time to continue up to the peak.

6:06am - Go for it.

6:19am - Peak 5024 bagged.

6:20am - Eat breakfast (banana and fruit grain bar).

6:25am - Begin speedy but cautious descent.

7:18am - Back at trailhead.

7:40am - Arrive home. Chat with next door neighbor for 10 minutes.

8:15am - Showered, dressed and in the car on my way to work.

Took a short food detour at Jack's Box, bought a hearty bowl and a egg/sausage bisquit. Yum.

Goal accomplished!
