One of the special backcountry hikes available this year. We started out with a brief road-walk to a really fun spur trail that took us down to a trail that took us to Mug House (named after three mugs that were found hanging together in one of the rooms). We crossed a couple alcoves, one with a zig-zag painting, the other with a square kiva. The main attraction was reached fairly soon and like most other dwellings in Mesa Verde, it was impressive. We had about an hour at the site before we had to take off.
