So my original plan for today - to go hike Kendrick Peak while Kelly did her epic loop - had to be changed when I was invited to visit the Grand Canyon for a job interview.
After that was done, I had a few hours to spare so I decided to take a stroll along the Rim Trail and spend some time looking at what will hopefully soon be my backyard!
It was unusually warm at the South Rim - 88 according to my thermometer when I was leaving the park around noon. It was also insanely windy along the Rim! Great day though ... not too crowded, especially once I was away from the Yavapai Viewpoint. Just walked for a couple hours and took about 100 photos - I couldn't stop.
I was at times overwhelmed with joy and feelings of gratitude for the good things that have happened recently, and the incredible opportunity that this job presents ... I truly feel it's meant for me, and I expect to find out later this week that it's mine! :D
