i'm a sucker for botanical gardens, so when i checked this one out online, i just had to give it a try. i was in hawaii with my parents for a vacation and this was one of the things that we could all agree on. the amount of picture taking (tibber mode!) was bound to slow me down so my mom could keep up. that and since my father was in a wheelchair, i had a little extra weight to push around. there were quite a few ups and downs on the trail system in this garden. so worth it though! i love orchids! (could you tell?)

note to others that have to push or operate a wheelchair: the entire trail system is not accessible - some dirt sections required that i go quickly to take pictures and come back to rejoin my family. and where it is "accessible," the pavement is coming up with tree roots or is very steep.
