Our last daytrip was to Resava Cave, which my wife had told me about during our last visit but we weren't able to make it there. it opened in 1972. I've never been to Karchner Caverns but my wife said this is easily comparable, maybe even a little bigger. The air was a nice and cool lower 40s (F). I took over 100 pics but posted the ones that came out the best.

The drive through the Serbian countryside to get there and back was just as enjoyable as the cave. On our way to the cave, we stopped at a 15th century monastery where I bought a bottle of schlivovica. The monastery looked pretty interesting as it was surrounded by a huge stone fortress to protect it from Turks and other invader over the centuries. Afterwards, we got lunch at a restaurant next to a waterfall and spring and made an impromptu hike out that afterwards.
