| | | I walked out of the Beeline Cafe after dark to discover a lightning storm rolling in from the east. Ooooh! Off I went, trying to find a dry place to hopefully capture some lightning photos. Just like old times! I drove out toward Cypress Thicket, stopping to watch a rattlesnake cross the road along the way.
Finding a good photo spot on the side of a hill, I saw a bolt hit North Peak as I set up my tripod. Three photos later, the storm had cleared the Mazatzals and was gone. I packed up and continued north to Kinder Crossing trailhead on the Rim to spend the night.
An exciting evening it was. | _____________________
