I ventured a little further from the East end this time. Because the San Juan trail is closed (indefinitely, per the Ranger), I parked at the closure and hiked the Bajada to the East end Alta trailhead. I only encountered two other people on the whole trip. What a contrast from last year; compare my older photos, full of wildflowers, to this year's dryness. I made it to marker 7, and I plan to complete the other section from the San Juan end.
