Another nice night spent at Kinder. I've never been this early in the year. I was suprised how many people were there. We saw about 15 day hikers and there was a group of cub scouts camping at the top and another group of four. Down below It was just us and 2 other guys backpacking. I ended up trying the local crawdads. I employed 2 cubscouts to help. They work for cheap! I paid them in boiled crawdads. I think they just enjoyed sucking on the heads. I can't say I'm going to give up clams in rocky point for Kinder Crawdads, but it was fun. Didn't see any animals. but I woke up in the night to hear an owl hooting.
