Holy Crap!

The dam area is the most fun swimming hole I've ever been to! I wasn't prepared for the amount of fun that I was about to have, as 5 other friends and myself hiked down to Fossil Creek. I'm pretty sure that a rope swing 20 feet in the air is illegal in most states!

I don't particularly enjoy being underwater, but the tunnel was really cool, and there were some caves that were definitely worth exploring. I plan on going back to explore a little more; this time with a mask and snorkel.

I spent a lot of time mastering huge air on the rope swing (coming a little too close to the opposite cliff a few times), sampling some cliffs jumps that required precision landing, and trying to traverse the overhanging cliff walls at the big cave, before falling into the swift-moving current. Too much fun!

On the way out, a thunderstorm cooled the air down and provided a great light show. Before we knew it, we were at the car. I suggested we stop at Rimside Grill after hearing several people on this site recommend it. I have to say...Good call! Great food and beer was enjoyed to the fullest as we watched lighting bolts out the window. It doesn't get any better.
