took the kids out for the first hike in arizona. right from the parking area we seen 2 deer about 30 yards behind us takin their time through the brush. we're from michigan, so they were captivated by the lizards and the cacti. this time we actually got to see a descent waterfall . i boosted the kids up to the top where the waterfall takes its initial drop but was to slippery for me to follow. the water was about waist deep on me. my lil 5 year old took a lil fall between some rocks and gained a lil experience i promised them if they caught a lizard we can keep it.....didn't think they would even get as close as they did to 'em, whew!! all in all it was a good starting hike for them and they seemed to love it.
