Started on this trail as part of a Hermit-Tonto-Bright Angel Loop. A few weeks ago we hiked to both of the springs in the area, but this time we continued down to the Tonto Junction and headed upstream towards Indian Gardens. This side canyon is very gorgeous, the trail is fairly steep and loose in sections though. I find the inner gorge to be the most stunning feature of the Grand Canyon and I was very excited to be hiking on a trail that skirts it the whole way. We passed a few camps, a huge spire, a handful of backpackers, hiked around the GC Battleship, and crossed many side canyons. While getting loads of great shots along the way with my new camera. Total loop was 23 miles and I completed it in 10 hours including breaks.
