The hike was amazing. The temperature was around 70 degrees at the parking lot. Once we got past the treeline (I'm guessing around 11,750ft), the temperature was 35-40 degrees with 70-80 mph winds. It made for a very exhilirating ascent to the summit. Clouds rolled in (which was a surreal experience at 12,600ft) and rain threatened so we descended after a brief rest at the top. Give yourself the whole day for the hike; it's pretty tough for those of us living at lower elevation. Needless to say, the altitude really took its toll and I was nauseous the whole way down. (Also, don't take Dramamine before you drive...)
