All of the boyscouts were leaving as we were hiking down. Also passed a group of guys hiking out who were questionably packed. Each one had a full backpack and was carrying an additional bag in hand. One guy had a 2 foot shovel, and another had a 3 foot long axe?! They did not look like a trail maintanance crew. Saw another guy hiking down solo with nothing. Shorts and Teva's, and that's it. No pack, no water.
Took somebody down there who had never been before. This was also my first time down there since they freed the creek. Plenty of time and space for swimming. Sad to see so much trash down there. Did what we could, but that place needs some help.
