A wonderful HAZ field trip to the Galiuro Mountains! Everything was incredible. The whole canyon was on fire with colorful maple, ash, aspen, and poion ivy. I met up with Nick, and we started hiking up the Ash Creek Trail. As we hiked along in the cold morning air, we met SuzAZ and Desertgirl, and soon entered forest. Came across Joe, and hiked with him for awhile. We got to the top of Bassett Peak just after 11 am, then started the return trip.
We came across Matt Hoffman and Liz, and talked with them for a bit. I must have shot about 300 pictures in all. Perfect weather and a perfect day! When I get the pictures back from my good camera, I will post a few of those, too...
