My dog and I tried this hike on a beautiful, although windy, December afternoon. The trail was very quiet as we only encoutered 1 other group of hikers the entire trail. The end of the trail in Burros Cove was quite overgrown and a bit difficult to pass at a few points. I did end up picking some cactus spines out my dog.

Overall, a nice stroll through the desert with beautiful views of the lake as well as desert vegetation.
