I've actually hiked Squaw Peak several times. I took lots of photos as this was my first of this year. It seems like they've made some improvements.
I actually photographed my first road runner. This is always a good hike. I spent 15 mins on top; lots of hikers out (2pm - 4:15ish).

Hiking 101
Warning: heat kills! Avoid 8am to 5pm over 90 degrees. Prehydrate & stay hydrated.
Hikebot recommends using an umbrella to block the sun.
Avoid Heat Illness - do NOT hike when temps exceed 100 degrees, period.
