Hiked with my brother, cousin and his Internet girlfriend he met for the first time... she talked almost the entire time - ouch. Very nice hike but didn't seem as colorful as when I hiked last Labor Day Weekend. It was a bit chilly and lightly rained a little here and there. Trail is in great shape... lots of chipmunks and golden squirrels and those noisy blue jays. Oh yes, and that heron that would fly out of site to avoid my camera. Still took lots of pictures and am always amazed at the change in climatology from the east to the west in that short of distance (dryer to ferns and moss growing on the trees).
