I think my brother said we did 4 miles. He brot along the GPS to show me how it worked but then took it back with him to CO. Fortunately he is moving back here this summer and we will do some GPSing then.
Anyway, it was a warm hike but quite pleasant otherwise. There were still some wildflowers in bloom and the trees that have those soft elongated yellow blooms were sending out a wonderful fragrance. The Creek level seemed the same as my last trip in March but there was a lot of buzzing going on. We ran into a couple that said they saw a snake but we didn't encounter any critters except a couple lizards and birds.
I did learn that the stuff they spray along side the road is probably for erosion & dust control, as is the straw.
