This place is just "too cool!". Thankfully this hike is as long as it is, or this spectacular area would be completely overrun. Went on Labor Day with my 10 year old daughter and her friend. It was fairly crowded, but still beautiful and fun.

You'll come first to the headwaters of the springs itself and a beautiful little swimming hole with rope swing. This is the best spot for the younger kids.

About 5-10 minutes downstream is the second nice hole with a more advanced rope swing and a difficult boulder to climb for a good jump.

Another 5 minutes downstream will bring you to the dam which I thought was about the sweetest swimming spot I've ever seen. Plenty of nice rocks to jump from various heights into the deep pool below. My daughter is a little daredevil and just couldn't get enough of it. There is a really cool underwater tunnel from the main pool into a hidden basin from which you exit by climbing a fixed rope up to the overhanging rocks above. There's also a rope swing that is not only quite high, but has fairly tight tolerances on your release point.

The climb back up to the trailhead is really a challenge for younger kids, so keeping that in mind, go slow and take plenty of rest breaks.

Have fun and do your part to help keep this area clean.

Havasu Canyon Trail - Sep 15 2014
I was watching the helicopter make multi-drops of people and supplies when, at one point, a stray horse wandered into the landing field (the gate was open). The guys unloading the supplies chased it around the field until it went back out the gate. Then as it was running up the main drag, another resident must have thought it got loose so he shooed it back into another open gate and back into the field. So now these guys are chasing it around the field again but this time they start pelting it with rocks. The horse was panicking and didn't know where to go. Rocks were being hurled at it from all directions. He ended up falling down after a really hard rock hit and it looked like he broke...
