Crisp morning followed by a sweet heavy mid-morning breeze... until the last couple miles. Temp creeped up to 92 degrees, then the breeze died. Wicked wildlife was the hit of the day. Pants or gaiters would have been ideal. Though I'm German I could do without the blood sausage. Nobody out and about with the exception of one white jeep on the way out. In this the sixth driest monsoon season on record the creek was a trickle. The produce isle is empty. On the upside the entire area is immaculate! High clearance is still fine. Sedans may have trouble with recent washouts. Down past Byous in the creek the sand has washed out from the steel water-bar barrier. There's still a bypass for jeeps and sedans.
