Met John in Globe on Thursday afternoon, and we started backpacking in just before sunset. I scavenged for a new griddle rock, then we cooked quesadillas and burritos over the campfire that night, as usual. In contrast to the recent "Trans-Supes Hike", this backpack was filled with sloth and luxury. We enjoyed several movies on the portable dvd player, the best being "Knocked Up". Experimented with some night photography with my digital camera. Never looks as good as my Hasselblad, though. Saturday was swimming and more laziness, followed by relaxing under a huge boulder by the creek. We hiked out on Saturday morning, and John went home to Phoenix. I drove up to Payson, then headed up FR 201 to Mt. Peeley TH for a Mazatzal homecoming
