Although this is a nice trail it's really more of a connector or shortcut between Butterfly and Aspen/Marshall trails.

Trail distance is incorrect on the sign. The trail is only 1 mile not 2 miles. If is 2 miles I'm really fast & the topo maps are extremely off

I did this trail only because Butterfly was closed due to the recent fire. It's really kind of neat passing by the funky cabins. The trail is fairly flat, drops 335 feet to Aspen/Marshall.

This is a fair option to lengthen the Aspen/Marshall loop. Definitely a plus if the Aspen/Marshall parking lot is full!
