Fabulous. Albeit there's plenty to bicker about there's plenty to enjoy. Waded through thicker crowds then seemed possible. A quarter mile after the group area you're past all that jazz. The upper canyon is among my favorite South Mountain stretches. South Mountain is generally sparse on vegetation with a chewed up barrel cactus on occasion. In this sliver of South Mountain heaven healthy saguaros dot the steep White Canyon esque rise.

Came to verify David's recent feedback and post a full GPS Route of the entire trail. I've dabbled in the area high and low many times but never hiked as an out and back. Glad I did.

Wish there was a foothills trail connecting Holbert to Geronimo. That would be a killer lasso loop with Corona de Loma!
