I parked my car at the Peralta Trailhead, this way the boring part of the hike was done first. As usual the hike up the Carney Springs Trail is pretty exhausting. Finding the Roost wasn't such a big problem. The big problem was going down the Roost. I had to bushwack myself a way down. The hike to Fremont Saddle was less difficult than the last time I hiked down from the Dacite Mesa.
