I normally don't write up all of my in-town training hikes (TSFB), but today was interesting. I looked different than the normal Camelback or recreational hiker since I had about 30lbs in my pack. I met and talked with David McClintock. He is a Certified Grand Canyon Guide with Just Roughin' It tours. We watched 3 Apache Longbow helicopters fly in formation north over Scottsdale, then west over Paradise Valley out to the West Valley. I figure it might have something to do with security for the upcoming SuperBowl XLII. I deleted all of the photos I took today because they looked so ugly with the bad air over the Valley.
