Still shaking off the lingering effects of a wicked flu-bug (resulted in my first sick days in 20 years - yuck). This was a snow hike with Lynn after visiting Hannah up at NAU. Perfect conditions with sunny skies and no wind! Creek crossings were an adventure with most stepping stones submerged under water and those above encrusted with slippery ice. Each successive crossing significantly reduced the number of hikers until it seemed we had West Fork Trail #108 all to ourselves. Quite surprising for a Saturday afternoon! No matter what the conditions, West Fork of Oak Creek always delivers a great hike...

Construction note; Hwy 179 from Sedona to I-17 is a series of detours. Multiple traffic circles have been completed and serve their purpose to completely ensnarl traffic. I'm sure Sedona is going to regret having ever approved those traffic "improvements". I'm guessing the countdown has already started with bid/tenders issued to rip them out...
