Really enjoyed this hike. Cholla are thick as a forest at the start, and the palo verde were bound up with bright red desert mistletoe. From the peak, the poppy collections look like yellow lava flows oozing down the mountain and surrounding hills.

Good workout - light crowds - from the saddle up to the peak was easier than I thought, but of course coming down was tricky in one or two spots. Time includes lunch at the saddle, lounging at the top, and poppy intoxication with excessive photography.
