It might be Spring everywhere else in Arizona, but on the Peaks it still looks like Winter. The visibility was winter-like, and the winds were non-existent today. Thats not at all spring-like for Flagstaff. It was so nice up there that I was able to make the traverse from Humphrey to Agassiz on the ridge between the two peaks. The snow on top was hard and stable, but anything on a SW slope was soft. On the way up I went through the bomber wreck and took some shots. The view from Agassiz was also good, and I took some pictures there again, too.

If you've been itching to hike Humphrey with deep snow you still have plenty of time left. even though it was turning to a crust of ice, it was still very deep on the mountain. The sign-in box on the trail was still under a foot of snow.

Spring winds are still annoying, but if they aren't filled with dirt or cold, they aren't that bad.
