I took my mom out for picture taking. Unfortunately, her back could not hold out so we didn't cover much ground. The time that we were there, as usual, we enjoyed it. The Mexican Red tree was in full blossom. I had never seen it before. Full spring bloom at the Arboretum has only just begun as the trees and cactus are just forming their buds.
There wasn't much in the way of people traffic which makes it easier to take pictures and not worry about editing out people interference.
We will probably go back in two weeks and hopefully the Iris will have bloomed along with other areas of the Arboretum. My mom has a wheelchair she used for my Gma so we'll take that along so I can wheel her around. In two weeks, beware of a first time wheelchair driver on the lower grounds of the Arboretum :o .
Oh, the hills on the drive are loaded with brittle bush and the sides of the road have all sorts of wildflowers blooming including globe mallow, lupine and poppies.

Oh, and once in awhile, don't forget to look back at the trail you've traveled.
