The Forest Service calls this trail #288 but the sign read #42. FS states the distance at 3.0mi, it's more like 4.3mi to 4.5mi depending if you can find the trail through Rock Creek.

Garden Spring (near the Barnhardt Trailhead) and an unnamed spring (near the Rock Creek Trailhead) were both just barely seeping. Doubtful this is common in June, likely due to the unusually wet spring.

Eisenhauer Spring Dry
We didn't find the actual spring but assume it's dry due to a completely dry creek bed.

Garden Spring Dripping
This is the spring in the creek just up from the Barnhardt Trailhead. We didn't check out the actual spring but a quarter mile down creek there was just barely water seeping.

Doubtful this is common in June, likely due to the unusually wet spring.
