Given the choice of heading back to the valley or staying up for the better part of Sunday afternoon, I decided to take one more leisurely hike to the head of the lake. Everybody else had left and I didn't see another person. The rains came at the halfway point and I chose to return the same way I came as the trail on the west side of the lake is a bit more established and quicker than completing the circle on the east side.
