On the 5th, I spent most of the day exploring via 4x4 the Williamson Valley Road and connecting FRs as recently written up in Arizona Highways. It was awesome back there and stopping in Seligman was fun, too. After that I squeezed in a short hike on Granite Mountain Trail to Blair Pass. There wasn't time to go further. That mountain looks really cool and the trail up to the pass was very nice. I'll be back because I want to enjoy the rest of the journey to the top and back. Hmmmm...perhaps a whirlwind day packed w/ a hike to the top of Granite Mountain bookended by 450 miles of motorcycle riding is in order...or maybe another weekend in Prescott--love that town. We'll see.
