Second year in a row hiking down to the dam for some weekend camping and swimming. Last time we hiked in via the Flume Trail- much easier IMO. Same end result though.

Stayed down for two nights nestled in and walled off by rock on two sides and water on the other.
Great weather, plenty of wild blackberries, water was very clear.
Spent most of Saturday down at the dam, on the rope swing, toilet bowl, and behind the falls. Water was not flowing over dam so the current wasn't too strong getting behind them.
Pretty crowded during peak hours this time. Saw 3 different people smack the jutting rock opposite the rope swing.

Could've skipped the heavy sleeping bag and just brought a light blanket. Tarp came in handy but for only about 30min during a quick storm. Other than that, slept under the stars both nights.
Saw a wild boar and fireflies.
Thank goodness for Propel and Gatoraide packets. Purified luke warm water gets old quick.

Hike In: 1.5hrs
Hike Out: 2hrs

Great time again.
