Did this one as a night hike with a buddy, totally different experience at night than it is during the day. We both agreed that we had an eerie feeling during a good portion of the hike. I nearly stepped on a Rattlesnake on the 2nd Water trail, definitely jumped back when I noticed the guy a few inches from my feet. Didnt really rattle or anything just slithered away when he noticed us there. I actually love seeing snakes so Im glad when I do see them, but that doesnt mean it doesnt get my adrenaline pumping whenever I run into one.

This has become a favorite hike for me when I only have a few hours but want to get away. If your curious as why they call them the Superstitions just go hiking at night there in the summer.
