| | Went for a quick early morning hike on Sat. over to La Milagrosa Canyon with Mitch & my dad for a some rappel practice. The area where we practiced had a nice couple of boulders for webbing and an about a 25ft drop which we rappelled with different techniques. It had a deep pool underneath which allowed us to practice floating disconnects. It was like a mini-Salome Jug without the current! You can read my May Salome triplog if you are looking for a little fun and excitement and to see why practice is a good idea. As a Marine Drill Instructor once told me, "You may have heard that 'practice makes perfect.' That's wrong. 'Perfect practice makes perfect!'" OOH-RAH! | _____________________
