Hiked from the AZ Trail meets Highway 83 "south" about 2 miles into Sunnyside Canyon. Trail was very well signed and easy to follow, in spite of a number of jumps on and off of old roads, single tracks and 4wd tracks. The scenery was nice, if not spectacular - with lots of riparian vegetation and some good views into the range. Water was plentiful in Sunnyside and Scotia canyons. Turned off the trail coming back at the Wilderness sign and headed into the abandoned community of Sunnyside to take lots of pretty pictures. Then got turned around in the maze of forest roads that lead to Sunnyside - as long as you keep heading down hill, though, eventually you'll make it back to Hway 83. Figure it was around 10+ miles total, with the + being the getting lost factor.
