Took the shuttle up to the Echo Canyon parking lot then hiked down through Echo, accross Hailstone, up to Inspiration Point, across the Big Balanced Rock trail, around the Wilderness of Rocks and out Sarah Demming and Lower Rhyolite Canyon. As always a spectacular hike - with lots of variety with hodoos, canyons, ridges and grottos. Weather was perfect. All of the streams were dry at the trail, with the exception of a few stagnant pools. Heard water running from somewhere up in Echo, though. We could have gone much faster, but we were taking a lot of pictures - several members of the group had not been to the Monument before and were quite in awe. Don't rush this one - I see something new every time!
