Beautiful area this was! Would have been more nice if I was more prepared for snow and rain. It got down to 40 degrees up there. Maybe it was the first snow seen this coming winter? I took the little shortcut trail at the begining from the parking lot, at the tip of the parking lot turnaround. Glad I did, was alot less crowded and more like a trail and not a road. Alot of people still hiking here for that extreme of weather. Very windy and it was like a blizzard up on that Basin, didnt have time to enjoy it, just turned around and head down as fast as I could for the heater in the car.
