First trip to Horton Creek because of all the triplogs and photos that you all have submitted. Not much fall color, but the presence of RUNNING WATER more than made up for it. The foliage appears to have been hit by frost last night. The destination was the creek this time and I found great water shots as soon as I heard the creek. Unfortunately for me, I had left lens filters in the truck--it really limited what I could do with the sunshine bright in the afternoon. I guestimate I went about 2 miles up creek, checking out all the little water "falls". I'm going to do this hike again, despite the 2 hours it takes to get there. I definitely want to make it to the spring next time. My SPOT (GPS locator) was able to get a signal out, but no cell service was found at the creek.
